Odoo And KPMG Agree Partnership Built On Supporting Accounting Customers

This week, I thought I would touch on KPMG & Odoo about their growing partnership with Accounting. It is starting to become a scary relationship for the ERP community as the Accounting module continues to grow in both functionality and popularity. One many are looking towards in the coming years being a staple figure within the Odoo system.
KPMG is one of the Big Four. That being in association with Deloitte, Ernst & Young & PwC. I am sure we have all heard of them in our industry.
Odoo and KPMG, look to take real-time accounting to the next level for their customers.
In June 2022, KPMG announced that after an intensive research process, they selected Odoo N.V. as their key technology partner. With digitalisation in this day and age playing a crucial role in companies functioning successfully, it is super important for them to enlist the right technology to support them on this journey.
Not to mention that Odoo were 1 of 9 software organisations being assessed.

It was a huge win for Odoo. No question about it. Already building on a great module basis, but now with KPMG backing them up. Not to mention at the time, in 2022, Odoo had an annual turnover of 169 million euros - growing 71% per year and reaching 3000 employees.
Also supporting offices worldwide in Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Australia, United States, Mexico, Kenya, Dubai, Indonesia and Italy.

KPMG's Role in Odoo Accounting
Earlier last year, in May, Odoo further announced that the partnership would be growing further on their already existing base, which had been built.
In "What started as a collaboration in real-time accounting" has now moved into a comprehensive transformation and implementation alliance. We know - amazing, to say the least; we were all buzzing, but what did this mean?
With clients already using the Accounting module's features to the full capabilities they could provide, it was time for an upgrade. Clients at the time were demanding for a wider array of functionality. With this in mind, Odoo joined forces with KPMG to better cater for the market for selected requirements. KPMG even took to Odoo's popular marketing channel on audio platforms 'Planet Odoo' to discuss the wider remarks.

With over 1,900 employees at the time in Belgium, KPMG it was a further huge statement from Odoo with the Big Four firm assisting in personalised and multidisciplinary support through audit, tax legal and accountancy advice. While also supporting management services such as operational efficiency, cost management and digital transformations.
It will be interesting to see how Odoo takes the next step across the 'big 4' in terms of both growth and partnerships. Only time will tell, in the years to come.
